Happy New Year!

I’m starting off the year by showing you my three *current* favourite sweaters from noName and the gazillion ways I’ve worn them.

As always we place orders on our cashmere sweaters regularly so if you can’t find the colour or size you are looking for on our website, send us an email orders@nonamebymm.com

The Florence Roundneck

The Florence Roundneck has been one of my favourite sweaters since we introduced it last spring. I have it in poppy red and greenhouse, but have realised I might need it in every colour.

As you may know by now I like to be able to wear things several different ways, dressed up or down, and all year round if possible. And because The Florence Roundneck is made in super thin cashmere it almost feels like a second skin when you wear it and therefore makes for a perfect layering piece.

For winter (on the least cold days) I have and will be wearing it under very thick coats. Here I wore my poppy red Florence, under my thick fur coat (mentioned here), with baggy jeans. I prefer wearing a white t-shirt under The Florence to create contrast, and therefore wore my stark white Khaite bag to match:

Tip: buy sleeveless white tank tops, with a high neck for layering so the sleeves don’t make awkward bumps under the sweater. I think FloreFlore or Uniqlo make the best ones.

When it was less cold out I wore The Florence Roundneck under lighter coats. Here I used almost the same formula as above, coat, roundneck, baggy jeans and my white Khaite bag to pull in the white from the t-shirt peeking out:

This is actually an iteration of something I wore in May of last year, just with lighter jeans and my Toteme nylon jacket. As I’ve mentioned previously I am not too fond of pairing colour with black, but adding the lighter jeans here breaks it up and reduces the contrast:

Because the cashmere is so fine it also looks really nice with a more dressy outfit. Here I paired it with a pair of khaki coloured wide-legged pants, heels and jewellery to dress it up:

I also tried pairing the poppy coloured Florence with an old sequin skirt from Raey, but think the red with the sequin was too much and would prefer it with The Florence in black or heather grey (keep scrolling and you will see what I mean):

Last spring I also wore it on a chilly evening out with a pair of wide-legged trousers and my mother’s Dries van Noten bomber jacket. I especially loved how the green made the outfit pop:

Another more dressed up outfit. Here with a white leather skirt and Old Celine shoes. A perfect outfit for a nice dinner where a dressy top would make the look too dressed-up:

My mother wears her Florence Roundneck all the time too, here she paired her black one with a pair of black jeans and loafers. Simple but very chic:

I borrowed hers in heather grey when I went home for Christmas and wore it with my striped trousers from the Garment:

The Milano Roundneck

This is the latest addition to our collection, and even though it is not as versatile as The Florence Roundneck due to its thickness and length, I really like how it looks styled with certain pieces.

My favourite way to wear The Milano Roundneck is probably with a midi skirt of some kind. Over Christmas I wore it with my faux leather skirt from Mango, matching chocolate brown tights and heels:

The Milano Roundneck in greyish brown, faux leather skirt from Mango Outlet (hot tip: search leather for the most interesting pieces, I also love this fringed one from Mango), Calzedonia tights, Alaïa confetti mules (available in patent here)

I think the long length makes it look extra effortless hanging over the skirt, but I also like tucking it in, as I did below and in this Substack here:

I also tried it over the same sequin skirt as with The Florence Roundneck above and liked the contrast of the very dressed up skirt and the oversized knit.
